THE BEGINNING

OF OUR STORY

Shijaku LTD was established as a small family business in 1993 and its activity was trading building materials and food. Referring its economic growth, emerged as a necessity to register it as an LTD.

The main activity of Shijaku sh.pk company has been trading of building materials, industrial and food commodities. The activity orientation in the trade of two types of articles, for which market demand has always been and remains high, especially for developing countries such as Albania, has been the key to our company’s success.

Since the beginning of the activity, managers had a clear vision of the market and exploiting market potential, regarding the demand of these products, they reached to position the company among the most successful of Northern Albania. Based on its economic growth in 1996 Shijaku LTD started trading with regional countries, importing-exporting goods with them, such as cargo transport by sea and from Italy and terrestrial from Greece.

From 1998 to 2002, the scope of the business were goods such as flour, wheat, maize, tiles etc. trading with European countries like Italy, France and Greece ect.

After 2002, realising that business activity was in a satisfied level and economic indicators were satisfactory, based on the idea to create a chain to produce this product, in collaboration we establish flour factory, an investment of 7,000,000 euros, in which Shijak LTD was a shareholder with 12.5%.

ACTIVITIES

In the context of the development and expansion of the activity in the field of construction materials, after has reaching a turnover potential and considerable clientele, the company reached the conclusion and decided to invest in construction of an Brick Factory in Fushe Kruja. “Shijaku” ltd and his bussines partner founded the company : Milis Brick JSC in 2004, and they built the first Albanian private brick factory, which was finished in October 2007. The tendency for new investments as the company generated revenue pushed us to think of new areas.
